After compLexity’s recent struggles at ESEA LAN finals and Arbalet cup, the team added Andrew “Irukandji” Timmerman in place of Scott “evolution” Cavallero in preparation for ESEA’s Season 7 and the rest of the summer’s events.

The time between these roster changes have been a mixed bag for complexity. The squad emerged from the two group stages at ESWC to place 5-8th securing their spot as the highest placing American squad in Paris. Just two weeks later, however, coL would be upset by Loaded in the ESEA Finals to take third place and fail to advance from the second group stage in Arbalet Dallas after tying BURNING! who went on to beat Na`Vi.

Timmerman was left out of compLexity’s reshuffle back in March following their exit from the ESEA Season 5 Finals. Timmerman is glad to be back playing with his old squad.

"It's nice to be back playing with the same core of players that I feel like I've played with my entire career (from POV to X3O to coL)," said Timmerman. "Not only do you have that bond in CS of knowing what the other person is going to do before they even make a move, but there's also strong friendships that exist outside of the game which makes playing a ton of fun."

Rumors, following Arbalet Cup Dallas and the Season 6 Finals, had suggested Timmerman’s return to complexity but replacing David "Xp3" Garrido instead of Cavallero. Alex "JaX" Conroy explained that by adding Timmerman, evolution became the odd man out.

"Unfortunately in order to bring in Drew, we had to let someone go," said Conroy. "Scott is a fantastic guy. However, based off the roles of other players he was the odd man out. At this point, David will remain the main caller. Drew will be calling mid round if David dies and of course adding his tactical perspective in practices."

This new coL roster has already participated in the third National ESL cup. They won the cup and secured themselves a spot in the Extreme Masters American Championship Playoffs in September. Also, coL will be announcing their WCG replacement for David "Xp3" Garrido shortly.
